The goal is to write a book in which the main character slowly falls in love with the reader. Please place your comments below about your different ideas for scenic descriptions.
Okay, what if the character says something interesting about a subject, say love, and the reader reads the quote three times, then stops reading and goes to write it down or highlight it on their Kindle. The main character is flattered and touched that someone would pay such close attention to what he is saying. He wants to engage the reader in conversation but doesn't know how. Maybe they could use the highlight feature on the kindle to talk about important things.
People always advise writers by telling them to "write what they know." I've basically lived in South Dakota my whole life, but I know quite a bit about Minnesota, and I have toured Europe before. What places do you guys know a lot about?

ReplyDeleteI like that idea :) It makes the reader get involved!
